Building Bridges of Hope<\/b><\/p>

We work toward this goal by reaching out to diverse church audiences — both internally and externally — through many avenues of communication. Creating informative and intuitive web sites, updating social media sites, and writing news stories and press releases are some of the ways we share our message. This is a ministry that has amazing potential for sharing the message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The roles of the Department of Communication includes sharing news with church members and ensuring your church is properly represented to the community.<\/span><\/p>

The department communicates with these three primary groups of people: members of the church, the conference communication department, and most importantly, the community.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Church Members\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

      Church members need to know what\u2019s happening at our church. This group includes those who attend every week, occasionally, rarely, shut-ins, and inactive members.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      Conference Communication Department\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

      As part of a global network of Adventist communicators, the department helps the Seventh-day Adventist Church stay connected. This is achieved by sending articles and photos to the conference communication director. This is one way of are sharing news with members around the world and recording the church\u2019s history.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      Community\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

      This group includes people whose experience with the Adventist Church ranges from positive to negative, their knowledge from extensive to non-existent. The department looks for ways to raise awareness of the Adventist Church and build bridges with people from the community. Events such as VBS, an evangelistic series, or a financial aid programs are some of the prime opportunities to get visitors inside your church\u2019s doors.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

      Objective of the Communication Department<\/b><\/p>

      Objectives of the Communication Department are to use, and promote the use of, all modern communication techniques and media in the most effective manner for the swiftest promulgation of the everlasting gospel, through a sound program of public relations to create a favourable climate for acceptance of the message of salvation through Christ as taught by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.<\/span><\/p>

      To achieve these objectives, believing that with or without a knowledge of any organization, people tend to form opinions on the basis of what they may see or hear, the department has committed itself to a program of positive, accurate presentation to establish in the public mind the following characteristics of the church and its message:<\/span><\/p>
